Chapter One :Chapter 1

Qiu Qiu was dragged to a bar by her heartbroken best friend for a drink. Little did she expect to see her boyfriend, who was supposed to be having a dinner gathering with colleagues at Tianluo, now sitting intimately with a young, fiery girl, their faces almost touching.

Already tipsy, Qiu Qiu’s mind went blank as she strode over to them.

"Xiao Ling, I’m really glad you could come with me to unwind. My girlfriend, she’s just so frigid. We’ve been together for years, and she’s never let me take things to the next level. All we do is hold hands and hug. I’ve practically become a monk these days," the man’s voice, filled with resentment, cut through the blaring music of the bar and reached Qiu Qiu’s ears.

"When I was chasing her, I heard she was quite the wild one in college, even pursued guys herself. But now, she acts all innocent and pure in front of me. Who knows, maybe she’s already been with someone else!" Before Qiu Qiu could react, the man continued his lament.

"Wow, Brother Chen, I can’t believe you’ve put up with a woman like that!" a sweet, exaggerated female voice chimed in.

Qiu Qiu almost laughed in disbelief. Her chasing guys in college? Sure, guys had pursued her, but she chasing them? That was news to her.

"What can I do? We’ve been together for so long. Every time I try to break up with her, she throws a fit and refuses," the man sighed, sounding utterly helpless.

"Xiao Ling, I really like straightforward girls like you. It’s so much more fun to be around," the man said, taking a big gulp of his drink before leaning in closer to the girl beside him, his hand subtly resting on her slender waist.

Having heard and seen enough, Qiu Qiu dialed Ran Muchen’s number and stood right behind him, watching as he pulled out his phone and promptly turned it off.

Seeing this, Qiu Qiu let out a cold laugh.

Normally, when sober, she might have quietly left, avoiding a scene, and waited until the next day to confront Ran Muchen in private.

But now, fueled by alcohol, Qiu Qiu felt more reckless. She didn’t want to wait. This so-called "perfect" man was someone she wanted to cut ties with immediately.

Clutching her phone tightly, Qiu Qiu stepped forward and tapped Ran Muchen on the shoulder.

Interrupted, Ran Muchen was visibly annoyed. He turned around and was met with Qiu Qiu’s usual gentle smile.

"Qiu Qiu?" Though drunk, the sight of her sobered him up instantly. He quickly pushed the girl beside him away.

"Surprised?" Qiu Qiu looked at Ran Muchen, her tone indifferent.

Ran Muchen nodded, then quickly shook his head. "Qiu Qiu, we just finished dinner and thought we'd grab a couple of drinks. What are you doing in a place like this?"

Despite the turmoil in his heart, Ran Muchen was a sharp individual and quickly composed himself.

"Why, is it okay for you to come but not for me?" Qiu Qiu's gaze was laced with heavy sarcasm as she stared at Ran Muchen.
